Financial support is the lifeblood of any research center, and we're no exception. We are often approached by individuals and groups who are coordinating events specifically to raise money to support the Center's research efforts. These events truly impact our ability to fund cutting edge projects.
If you would like information about how your event can benefit the Robert Packard Center, please fill out our Event Giving form or contact Emily Ehehalt at (410) 516-6731 or eehehal1@jhmi.edu.

Record-Breaking Team Boosts Packard Research - October 19, 2008
The wind was so strong it blew open the doors of the Hilton near the Virginia Beach boardwalk, but it wasn't powerful enough to deter more than 7,000 people in that city's ALS walk - now noted for breaking national attendance records for ALS Association's fund-raising treks.
But one of the teams in "The Walk to Defeat ALS" was of key importance to The Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins. Its more than 3,600 participants not only made the JT Walk Team the largest group of its kind, but it also raised a record $575,000. And 40 percent of that was dedicated specifically to the Center, to strengthen its search to cure ALS. Read more >> |
