ABOUT THE PACKARD CENTER

Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins

Donate

Most ALS patients, averaging 55 years of age, do not live beyond five years after diagnosis. Through your tax-deductible ALS donation, we can improve the quality of patients' lives and work toward a cure.

Research in ALS, a disease where subtle things go awry at the gene or cell level, requires a great deal in the way of sophisticated technology and unusually skilled scientists. Donations through your ALS fundraising efforts, events, ALS memorial gifts and planned giving are essential to supporting accelerated ALS research being undertaken in labs all around the world. Such research is costly and government and corporate support of ALS is limited. Your help brings us closer to these important goals.

Event Giving

Did you that over half of our funding comes from individuals and organziations that host events on our behalf? Having an event is easy and the staff at the Packard Center is here to help. Give us a call to discuss ways in which you can host an event and raise awareness of the vital work that Packard investigators perform everyday.

Major & Planned Giving

There are many creative gift-planning strategies that may allow you to give more than you ever thought possible and, at the same time, create tax advantages for you. Planned or deferred gift options include bequests and gifts that can produce an income stream to you such as a charitable gift annuity or charitable trust.
