Baltimore Orioles Fundraiser
August 31, 2001
With the retirement of Baltimore Orioles' third baseman Cal Ripken, Orioles'
Vice Chairman and COO Joe Foss suggested a way to honor Ripken and benefit
ALS Research: Sell benefit tickets to their 50-seat skybox. Both skybox
sales and a raffle brought $35,000 to the Center last fall, adding to
the Orioles' many contributions.
