Wings of Hope
November 8, 2001
Brainchild of Toni Diamond, "Wings of Hope" blossomed into
a stellar event that brought $320,000 to the Center. Held at New York's
famous Tavern on the Green restaurant, the Muscular Dystrophy Association-affiliated
benefit featured a reception, entertainment, auctions, and an award ceremony.
Jeffrey Rothstein, director of the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research,
received the first Diamond Award from the Muscular Dystrophy Association
in recognition of his work on ALS.
