Celebrate Baltimore
June 6, 2002
On June 2, 2002, Georgene Brodie converted her love of Baltimore into
a sizeable donation for the Center's research and its associated neuromuscular
clinic at Johns Hopkins. The long-time city resident, diagnosed with ALS
two years ago, was the motivator behind "Celebrate Baltimore,"
a day-long party held at Baltimore's Power Plant Live! and at Port Discovery,
capped by dinner, entertainment and auctions. She created the Georgene
Brodie Foundation for the Future to raise money for ALS and other neuromuscular
conditions.
