2nd Annual Bruce Edwards Celebrity Golf Classic

Hall of Fame golfer Tom Watson and best-selling author John Feinstein have established The Bruce Edwards ALS Research Foundation, in honor of Watson’s longtime friend and caddy who died of the neurological disease in 2004. Funds raised by the Foundation go directly to research dedicated to finding treatments and a cure.
Watson and Feinstein co-hosted the Foundation’s biggest fundraiser on September 11, the 2nd annual Bruce Edwards Celebrity Golf Classic. This year’s tournament, which included celebrities from the PGA, NCAA, major league baseball and the worlds of politics and journalism, raised $600,000. Combined with last year’s inaugural tournament, the Foundation has netted more than $1 million. The primary beneficiary is the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins.
