Friends of the Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins

The Friends of the Packard Center for ALS Research is an auxiliary of grassroots volunteers who want to become more involved in supporting the collaborative research efforts of the Packard Center. These Partners in Collaboration get involved in many ways: developing and coordinating fundraising events and materials, representing the Center at various community events and gatherings, and sharing their talents to expand and strengthen the Center’s administrative and fundraising efforts.

This is a new endeavor for the Packard Center. Our goal is to recruit a strong group of volunteers who can help us promote the Center by acquainting the public with our mission and developing and maintaining fundraising projects to support those research efforts. Occasional volunteer assistance may also be needed in the following areas:

  • Supporting existing events such as the Fiesta 5K & Fun Run
  • Developing marketing materials such as information packets and brochures
  • Database support for our Convio Team Raiser system
  • General office support
