Andrea T. Evers Joins Board of Governors, The Robert Packard Center for ALS Research
The Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins is pleased to announce Andrea T. Evers of New York City has been elected to serve as a member of its board of governors from November 2002 to October 2005.

Evers is Vice President of the Nasdaq Trading Group at Credit Suisse First Boston. She manages 30 different securities within the software/internet sector. She is also active in the firm's Securities Women's Network as well as in undergraduate recruiting and the CSFB training program.

As a member of the Executive Committee for the annual Wings Over Wall Street gala sponsored by the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Evers represents CSFB as lead sponsor of the event. She managed Wall Street fund raising for this year's Wings, touching more than 20 different sell-side brokerage institutions and buy-side clients. Her work helped make it one of the MDA's largest single event fund raisers, netting $1.9 million from more than 1,700 attendees.

Evers is a graduate of Duke University where she majored in economics and political science.

The nature of ALS shapes the Center's results-oriented scientific approach. ALS is a devastating, progressive neuromuscular disease that causes complete paralysis and loss of function -- including the ability to eat, speak and breathe. ALS progresses quickly and is not curable. Most patients die within five years of diagnosis.
