HELP TRACK DOWN GENES ASSOCIATED
WITH ALS
Help Jonathan Glass, M.D., a scientist with The Robert Packard
Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins, in his search for genes that
may increase a person's susceptibility to ALS.
Glass is conducting a study to pinpoint DNA that people with the disease
have in common, as a way to locate these key genes.
He's seeking ALS patients with two living biological parents. All three
should be willing to provide a blood sample. Approximately 500 "triads"
(patient and two parents) are needed.
Although Glass is based at Emory University in Atlanta, travel there is
not necessary. If you can help, please call this toll free number: 1-888-413-9315.
