The Rodeo for Research benefits two very different but equally compelling causes in the field of Neurosurgery and Neurology.

THE ROBERT PACKARD CENTER FOR ALS RESEARCH AT JOHNS HOPKINS
ALS (commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease) is one of the most devastating diagnoses a person can receive, and there is no cure. Patients live on average, two to five years after diagnosis, and in that time become rapidly and totally disabled. The Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins is the only international research institution dedicated solely to the disease. They bring together the best scientists from a variety of disciplines that enables shared innovation and progress to pinpoint the best ideas. The Packard Center drives new ways of thinking about ALS and helps to identify drug therapies to slow its progression.
